Freshwater Supply | Impact Berry

by Sonja & Timo July 07, 2019 1 min read

In August 2018, severe earthquakes hit central Indonesia. Three months after the quake, parts of Dangiang village, located close to the epicenter, were still lacking fresh water supply. Pipes had been damaged by the earthquakes and the remote village was lacking funds for their replacement. This had tremendous effects on hygiene and health.

Impact Berry provided the necessary funds, allowing for new pipes to be brought in and used immediately. The men in the village worked together to help install the pipes thus enabling the reestablishment of the water system – providing increased hygiene conditions for 144 families!
