In August 2018, severe earthquakes hit central Indonesia. Three months after the quake, parts of Dangiang village, located close to the epicenter, were still lacking fresh water supply. Pipes had been damaged by the earthquakes and the remote village was lacking funds for their replacement. This had tremendous effects on hygiene and health.

Impact Berry provided the necessary funds, allowing for new pipes to be brought in and used immediately. The men in the village worked together to help install the pipes thus enabling the reestablishment of the water system – providing increased hygiene conditions for 144 families!

As a coffee business with a supply chain that revolves around Creating Shared Value (CSV), Impact Berry is a huge fan of other brands and initiatives like ours. Sustainability is at the top of the list for these shared values, and we're excited to introduce some local Hong Kong and international brands that we love and support. They put the environment first but truly bring added value to the products and ideas they offer. Many are organic brands but take their methodology beyond the organic label for a comprehensive approach to responsible business and consumption.
